In alignment with ongoing technological advancements, we provide telemedicine services which involve the delivery of health care services using electronic communications, information technology, or other means between a healthcare provider and a client who are not in the same physical location.

By engaging in our telehealth services and agreeing to the Therapy Contract, you acknowledge potential logistical and privacy issues inherent in telemedicine. We adhere strictly to HIPAA/PHI standards and have detailed the key points below:
- Consent Withdrawal: You have the right to withhold or withdraw consent to telemedicine at any time without affecting your right to future care or treatment.
- Privacy Risks: The transmission of personal information over the internet might be vulnerable to security risks such as viruses and hacking, and private information could potentially be accessed by unauthorized parties.
- Confidentiality: All existing confidentiality protections under HIPAA/PHI apply.
- Medical Records: All laws regarding access to medical records remain applicable.
- Information Dissemination: No identifiable images or information from the telemedicine interaction will be shared without your consent.
- Consent Documentation: Your signed consent will be included in your medical record.
- Liability: Emotional Wealth LLC is indemnified against breaches of confidentiality and insurance issues, with clients assuming responsibility for these risks.
Method of Telemedicine:
Alternate Platforms: Occasionally, other video conferencing platforms may be used. We will inform you in advance of any changes and discuss the security features of these platforms.
Video Conferencing – Simple Practice and Doximity: Sessions will be conducted using Simple Practice or Doximity. Prior to your session, please download and set up the necessary software. Close all unnecessary applications to ensure a smooth connection. Use of a headset is recommended for better privacy and audio clarity.
Telephone: Ensure you are in a private location free of interruptions for the duration of the session. If using a cellphone, be aware of potential security issues. Sessions will follow the scheduled time strictly to manage and respect the time of all clients and professionals.
